World Cup Draw on Friday
So, the US may get a bit of a rough draw as we are not one of the top eight seeded teams for next year's World Cup. Somehow, Mexico is. Too bad the seeding system takes into account the horrific 1998 World Cup teams. We're still paying for that nightmare. Hopefully, we don't draw somehting like Brazil/Netherlands or Italy/Czech Republic.

The special pot is intended to keep there from being more than two European teams in any group. Serbia is the lowest-ranked European team and is going to be put in a group with either Mexico, Argentina, or Brazil.

Let's be clear on this. The special pot simply means you will play Mexico, Brazil, or Argentina in the first round. There is NO juicebox involved.
