Pottermania
It is safe to come see Harry Potter now. The swarm is back in school. You would think I would know better than to watch a movie at my own theater on Black Friday. The crowd was much better behaved than I expected, though. OK, we WERE watching Walk the Line, not the Potter.

How was the flick? Been thinking about seeing it.
Potter was pretty good, but had so much plot to cram into two and a half hours that sometimes it seems to skip ahead. Walk the Line was not bad. I got the impression from it that Johnny Cash really wanted to sing. Then he really wanted to be with June Carter (despite his wife and kids).
I finally saw Walk the Line. It was not bad, but it was not good either. I felt detached from the whole movie-length montage.
I watched the second half of the movie again the other night. I really like how some of the shots make you feel like you're up there on stage with the Man in Black. I also like Robert Patrick as his daddy. I think I might like a documentary at least as much, but I thought Joaquin was quite good.
