Narnia is upon us

Can it be? Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and The Passion of the Christ all rolled into one? That's what "the industry" is hoping for. I think the marketing team on this one is downplaying the religious allegory aspect while still trying to round up church groups. As opposed to, say, the folks marketing Superman Returns.

I'm just excited to see the Narnia stories on the big screen. I hope this one does well enough to spawn some sequels. As for Big Blue, I was just happy to hear the music from the Richard Donner movies. I hope they use some of the John Williams music.

Pottermania

It is safe to come see Harry Potter now. The swarm is back in school. You would think I would know better than to watch a movie at my own theater on Black Friday. The crowd was much better behaved than I expected, though. OK, we WERE watching Walk the Line, not the Potter.
