I thought about a Katrina-related post a month or so ago, but then the storm knocked the power out for a couple hours. By the time the lights came back on, I had been reading "Assault in Norway" by candlelight, an I had to finish. Nothing like reading about Norwegian commandos living off reindeer stomach (best source of vitamin C on the plateau) before they sabotage the Nazi heavy water plant to take the mind off the howling wind outside. Of course, no storm surge 6 hours inland, so no dying of dehydration in my own waste. But man, those gas prices were tough! When will they get back down, already?
